Reaper did a review on the ducky 1087 xm. The one with green alps.

Well, I believe the first 1087s had some quality control issues. Broken mini USB adapters, or ones that would fall off. Uneven spacebars and such. But apparently they have stepped up their quality.

Well, the XM is pretty loud when you're typing and even more so if you're bottoming out (like I do).  I ended up putting some O-rings on the it and now it's more tolerable.

The black ALPS I believe is linear and the green ALPS is clicky.  I got the clicky one.

Duckys had a quack problem.

I've never seen anybody be specific about this "Problems were fixed" rumor.

Probably started by the OCN sales guys (the moderators there).  Hell, they even close threads if you complain about your Ducky keys fading.

Quack!
I am also interested to see if there's been any real progress in the QC of the ducky's.

Really, what you're saying is that they moved 1984 from fiction to non-fiction over at OCN?

@OP: If you are ordering from PChome anyway, (which is kind-of a hassle) I would recommend getting a CMstorm instead. It might be a bit more, but the quality of mine in excellent.
