Where else can esc keys go?

Ok guys i got some new key caps but my function row is full and I am wondering where else can else they fit on a keyboard. Thanks!

Those are sculpted to match the q w e r t y u i o p [ ] row, sorry man. There are a total of 4 different row shapes for x1.0 keys

They'll fit on any cherry MX switch. It's just a matter of whether or not you want the profile of all the keys in the row to match.

You are right I suppose I should have mentioned that. If you have keys that are non-sculpted i.e all of them have a matching profile, then you can place it anywhere. If you do have sculpted keys then here is your layout.
-keyboard row-  -sculpted row-
row 1 and 2 = key shape row 1
row 3 = key shape row 2
row 4 = key shape row 3
row 5 and 6 = key shape row 4
the numbering starts from the bottom row (your space bar)

I can definitely confirm this for Filco keycaps. Using the blank red ESC as my 6 key right now (aids in my finding my hands on the number row faster).

Clearly the best place for an escape key is the [`~] key

My WYSE doubleshots have an ESC key that went there on the original keyboard, and I put it there on my current one, because the colour theme matched. It's still mapped to [`~] though :p Since it's QWERTY, I almost never use it.

I put my (cherry profile?) shamrock keycap on my [Delete] key for colour-reasons, and because the profile matches the rest of the keys in that area better.

Wow I just now realized that the shamrock keycap is row 3 keycap.. the more you know. But the thread said it was a "Row 1" which they meant "Row 4" but either way they were wrong in both accounts haha.

It's a function row-sized cherry profile, which is coincidentally very close to the 'tab' row on filco/WASD/etc keycaps.
So just remember that SP row1 ~ filco row2. This is because SP caps are generally shorter.

Take off the spacebar and put an Esc key there. You'll need to practice making sure you aim right though.
