It depends on what type of apps you are referring to. Games? Utilities? Navigation? Office?

I like the x-ray vision camera app, lets me see panties and bras...
Also, the whoopee cushion apps, or anything else that reminds me of those prank / magic shops like in the beginning of Pee-Wee's big adventure.

Too bad gum that makes yr mouth overflow with dark colored dye can't be offered in "app" form.

Sort of.
The truth is, there are so many apps, type of apps, ratings/comparings of similar apps, it just takes too much time to look at too many. Interestingly, a lot of these developers make several apps, some paid, some free. The key is that at some point the type of app you want is free from at least one developer. In some cases, there is no free substitute for a specific industry type of app.

Someday I'll fork over .99 for an app. For now I've got about 300 apps on my phone that I don't use while I'm waiting to try a bunch and keep the best of the particular group and delete the rest. The downside of OCD tendencies.

latest iphone app fiance' got, chrono trigger.
she said she's bored at the airport, i said chrono trigger just got released, she then said i'mma get it, prolly the 10th time she'll beat it.

btw which means sooner or later she's gonna get an iphone with 32 or 64 gigs, she's already maxed out her 16gb iphone, being that most square games are 500megs plus.

You have got to download Photosynth.  You can use your iPhone to take full 360-degree by 360-degree panorama, and share in on Facebook or just look at them on the phone.

And of course, Tapatalk.

Well I have only had my 4s since the 25th but my favorite thing so far has to be the camera the photos are better then my Nikon point and shoot

[ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 36495 [ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 36496

The HDR function is pretty cool as well but I have not had a chance to play with it too much yet although the close up is a HDR shot but the lighting was definitely not great.

Here are some examples
[ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 36497 [ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 36498 [ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 36499

The one that is labeled original comes from the HDR as it saves the original pic plus an HDR version.

Although in this test I would say the original labeled pic is probably the closest, but also keep in mind this was in a low light situation because I am too lazy to get up and mess with the dimmer switch.

I bought it when it was first released (iMav told us in one of his threads).  Now I think it's gone from App Store. =(  Best money ever spent just for bragging rights. lol

Here are some of my favorite apps. I prefer payed apps since I think developers should not have to work without pay.
Tiny Wings - Highly addictive game which really show the greatness of the retina display.
QWOP - Hardest game ever.
Touchgrind - Fun skatebording game with awesome controls.
C64 - Programmable Commodore emulator. Includes mechanical keyboard.
