Just throwing it out there hoping someone is willing to sell me one or lead me to the right direction. I don't care about the color. I'm willing to pay a small premium for it since it's almost impossible to find.

If anyone is interested I can buy any keyboard or anything small off Amazon Japan and it will be here by the first week in January. So in a sense this can be a trade since I'll sell you the item from Japan at the current exchange rate and you sell me your keychain at the price we agree on. I can also trade a Model M or SSK (+$)

299 CYN = 47 USD before shipping+import/middle man fee. But it certainly would be a nice piece of Topre history to hold on to.

They do go up from time to time, just a few weeks prior there was another one up on taobao. just keep your eyes out for it.

The guy changed his mine. Since I would order some stuff, he will get some from Japan.

They have come in quite a few varieties but I personally would love the HHKB variants.

The top one is not a topre keychain thing, it's the ducky one. Cherry switch, and you can get them from pchome

I just got off the phone with one of the Topre workers and he mentioned they don't have any instock at the moment. He mentioned they only make enough for events and that is usually around 100ish each time. He also said the material is expensive so just giving out free ones isnt viable and that they are handmade so that's why they don't sell them since it's time consuming.

Yeah, I think they get a lot of calls/emails about the keychains. I think he mentioned the next time they do an event they can mail the survey or whatever it is, if it's possible to do over the phone/mail. It just has to be a Japanese address and I will have to bug my family or friends to do it for me. Might be a big hassle but at least it would be free.

Btw, I'm open to the ducky keychains

It depends on when buying it will determine if shipping is free or not.

I have about 1-2 weeks to order stuff since I have my GF's family coming here and they can bring it in there luggage. After 1-2 weeks my GF's family or my family can always ship to me but it's kinda pricy. I just shipped some clothes and headphones last week and it cost $60 but it came in less then a week.

I can also buy stuff from other auction websites but they usually charge extra to ship since they live in Okinawa. Kinda like how people here charge to ship to Hawaii/Alaska

If you're 100000% sure you want them I can buy them and you pay me once you have money. Btw, you will still have to pay the shipping once it's here (CA to WA)

I think we would have a much better chance at a group buy if one of us actually made it ourselves. It doesn't seem like they are interested in making them for profit. He mentioned they get a lot of emails and calls about the keychains so they probably know they could sell them if they did make them.
