How to lubricate Leopold FC200R?
« on: Wed, 30 November 2011, 19:38:14 »
I recently got some lithium grease because my backspace key is a bit hard to push, I am wondering where to apply it. And for future reference, how to lubricate the other keys too. They are cherry stabilizers btw.

i've seen it, and I tried lubing those two points on the metal piece with a toothpick and white lithium, but I didn't notice a difference.

The key is squeaking and is hard to press off center. I was told to get lithium grease to fix it, now you're going to tell me that it's not fixable?

hey, in all fairness, ripster did not tell you it is gonna fix whatever you thought the problem was.

You can try lube a bit of the moving track of those two small black looking fake switches. No guarantee its gonna satisfy what you are looking for... but might be worth a shot.  Remember not to overwhelm the switches with grease.

I don't understand, can you tell me exactly what I need to lubricate and how much to use?

You can't. No one can. It is for now still a speculation without proof. You might want to contact elitekeyboard see if they are willing to do anything about it.
