Can someone please state what are the best Tenkeyless keyboards around?

Without lights : - Filco or Cm storm quickfire

with : ducky ?

i dont care which switches they have

IBM Model M SSK. It is definitely the best quality keyboard out of all tenkeyles, no questions asked. Switches are personal preference but most people tend to like Buckling Spring.

I was looking for something with more warranty  , that model from what i saw looks expensive (100-200$) and i prefer cherry switches because i can use my keycaps..

Topre seems the best but it costs 350$ plus 150$ for some keys ... its too much....

Im really into the filco with the war paint tenkeyless or Cm storm..

Redeeming the warranty on the CMstorm might be difficult if you get it from Asia.

My vote goes for Leopold TKL (My switches of choice are REDS)
Had a Filco TKL but i find the Leopold to be better in every aspect ( i even like the stabilizers)

The leopold costs less than the filco ? i have the steelseries 6gv2 but i want something smaller , as for the switches i only tried blue and the ones i have(black) , but im sure i will like any..

Yeah, the leopold boards cost less than the filco ones and I find the leopold to be better. I dont think the price is always the indicator for quality

you used to be able to get a filco TKL in the US below 130, before EK had to hike their prices, and before they made it on Amazon by way of the UK.

For my Leopold i actually paid 200$.... cause of shipping and had to pay uk customs charges. I wish i lived in the US.... everything is so much cheaper...

Leopolds have prelubed stems and are therefore smoother. Also they come with better keycaps and detachable cable.

Filco definitely has some of the coolest Tenkeyless keyboards right now.  With the pink version, camo, and new yellow edition I'm seeing some really awesome keyboards that I wish I could get.

I must have it! The tenkeyless version is coming to the USA on Monday with blue, black, and brown switches, but will take a week or two before it will be on the shelf at Amazon.  All this information thanks to Bruce at The Keyboard Company.

I was *****ing earlier about the Cherry stabilizers on my Leopold, but getting a set of new keycaps I needed something to put them on - the Leo was the only keyboard left with its original keycaps.  After typing on it for a while, it already feels smoother - must have needed a "break in" period and I just didn't ride it out long enough.

Now the question is, do I still prefer it to my otherwise pretty much identical Filco 104-key... purely a layout question.  Jury is still out on that but I'm leaning towards with tenkey, even with the ergonomic advantages of the tenkeyless.  However, I do not have an external numpad, so perhaps I should be looking for one of those.

I'm not gonna say that this is the best tenkeyless at all (in fact, I think I'm in the wrong thread...), but it does feel very comfortable: Black PLU ML-87 MX Red (POM keycaps).

Light and smooth switches and a very slick keycap surface. Your finger can slip smoothly through the keys if you're typing fast. They are the antithesis of uncomfortable sticky ABS keys. To that add the smoothness of MX Red and you have a really nice keyboard.

It's plate mounted, it has media keys and a windows-key blocker (with LED indicator, see the white one in the last picture).


Though, some things for sure would be a deal breaker for a lot of people:

- 2-KRO (it is not an issue for touch typing and RTS games!)
- LED cutout issue in some keys (but very easy to fix)
- shiny logo and lettering in the spacebar

Best tenkeyless is probably going to be the Phantom.  Programmable and totally handmade. I just wish I can afford one.

One thing to note is that the poker is more compact than the noppoo (noppoo has funciton keys, so an added row)

Also, a good compact keyboard would be the KBT race that they're starting orders for. It should be about a noppoo choc mini in size, from the pictures

I dont know what process/brand of lube they used, but as someone who has disassembled literally thousands of Leo switches, they ARE lubed and noticeably smoother.
