Wireless Keyboards

I tried searching for this topic but didn't come up with much.

I know we all love our wired mechanical keyboards, but what about for those times when we need to cut the cord?

I'm currently using a dying 10 year old HUGE wireless Logitech multimedia monstrosity of a keyboard for my HTPC, and I need something that sucks less.

I would prefer a tenkeyless design or something mini that doesn't end up with a horrible layout, and that can reach ~15-20 feet without freaking out.
The best looking option I've seen thus far is the Logitech K400 which went out of stock an hour before I placed my order. I can still cancel if I can find a better option. A keyboard mouse combo would work but I'd prefer not to spend a fortune on it.

What does everyone prefer for their wireless needs?

I got that keyboard. It is not bad.

Right shift is annoying position, irregular touch typing

Some of the right keys and some left, at least for ISO layouts are shortened like ]} #~ and enter which coming from touch typing can be annoying if you plan to type a lot. Also backspace and capslock feel funny.

Not very quiet - especially loud space bar despite the box claiming that it is 'almost quiet'!

Volume controls are good, only thing missing is Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward, Pause etc. for imo a proper media keyboard as using the touchpad is annoying sometimes.

As for a media keyboard it functions quite well apart from the point listed above. Plus is a nice big touchpad.

You do have a good point actually. The keyboard will see very little use for actual typing.
The media keys themselves I have virtually never used on keyboards that had them, so I'm not too worried about that.

What's it for if not typing?  If it's just occasional key presses then you might like the Nyxboard remote.  On my phone atm so no link.

I have the K400.  Prefer the Apple Aluminum.

The review is in my subforum.  Taking a while to finish - KL keeps annoying me.  Says I have no life.  He has no idea how HARD it is to take a picture of the Apple Aluminum invisible LEDs.  His pictures suck.

Isn't the Apple Aluminum Bluetooth only?
