Filco vs WASD

I am a software engineer and I use a das keyboard (cherry brown) at work. I enjoy typing on it but the soft glossy face sucks so I will not purchase a second one.  

I am now going to purchase a mech keyboard for home (programming/gaming).  Currently I am looking at:
Filco Majestouch-2 (Brown)
WASD V1 Semi Custom (Brown)

There appears to be very little on the web comparing the two product lines.  Does anyone have a keyboard from both companies? Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Geekhack Brian - both keyboards are pretty similar in terms of quality, so it comes down to your preference as far as features/look.

I personally recommend both. See my sig for details.

They are probably both made by COSTAR. Whichever looks more appealing to you.

they are gonna be the same soon when wasd comes out with his tkl line.  wasd has custom keys and lubed stabilizers also he has the option for preinstalled o-rings.

Also the stabilizer wires of the WASD are supposed to be thicker. Also it is a lot easier to pull out those stabilizer inserts.

Agreed that is compared to a Rosewill. I would pick the wasd you could get a full custom for the same price as a Filco.

You can't go wrong with either. I prefer the aesthetics of the filco case, but the customization options that WASD offers are pretty cool if you are looking for something unique.

I wonder why WASD choose looser stabilizer inserts. Tight is always a good thing especially if we talk about women.

I got a friend who just recently swapped out his Filco key caps for ones from WASD. He called it an improvement over Filco's cap.

he didnt choose looser ones he choose the standard the rosewill ones are almost impossible to get out. The weird thing is is that not every insert on my rosewill were the shorter stubbier ones there were some standard ones thrown in also.

i would have to agree with that for abs they feel nice and i think the quality engraving or etching helps.

Could you take some pictures to compare? The filco inserts I have look the same as on the WASD website, yet they fit very thight. I could only pull out those with the help of the keypuller.
