This seems like a legitimate, if frivolous, thread. I will respect the spirit of the question.
Although I am really partial to the early IBM Model M, particularly a 1390131, as of this moment there is no question that the keyboard that I am typing on now would be my top choice.

This is my fully modded Model F 122-key terminal dated 17 June 1985, 3 days after my 33rd birthday.
It was dis-assembled, thoroughly cleaned, adjusted, and painted. I added bolts (see my wiki) holding the metal plate (front plate, as opposed to back plate in a Model M) to the circuit board, flossed the springs, and stuffed the case with multiple types of padding.
Soarer's Teensy modification worked perfectly, it is mounted internally with an ordinary USB cable connecting to the computer (6' black Radio Shack premium cable with gold-plated connectors (my other one uses a gray Geek Squad brand cable, which is probably better)).
I used KeyTweak to remap several keys, and did the best I could to replace key caps to reflect the remapping. My only complaint/request is the (my) inability to re-map 2 keys on the numpad - I want "Num Lock" to become "/", and "Pause" to become "-". Even his Highness the almighty Soarer cannot seem to accomplish this feat.
Otherwise, this is the perfect keyboard, unless size and weight are considered negative attributes rather than positives. This 22"x9"x3" behemoth (560mm x 230mm x 80mm !) weighs approximately the same as each of my children weighed at birth (full-term and healthy). It does not slide around on the desk as I type.
Simply put, this artifact is "Bad - Ass" and you can take your featherweight plastics and aluminums and do whatever you want with them.
This is not the keyboard I carry when traveling, I use the pathetic scissor-switch laptop for that, but at home, in my den, with my 50-pound full-tower with 4 hard drives, 3 optical drives, and 2 monitors, this is how I connect to the digital universe.
