Aren't be black ones the ones with Red switches?

I know mine has a black case, red plate and red switches. (I also should have waited 3 months, but what'ev)

Edit: This one sure looks like it has a gunmetal case.

They also don't have stock yet.

dorkvader, the spec list says Cherry blacks, so that's what I went with.  When I looked yesterday it said they were in stock.  Either it was a mistake, or they disappeared during their Boxing Week sale.

I am in the Vancouver today.  Burnaby, BC store has one, but I am not going to drive that far to get one.

It's better just to wait.

The real question is (as I suspect) will the reds be Asia only? Given the different colouration, and the chinese keycaps, I think we can assume they will not be released in NA.

Still, the CMstorm is probably my favourite keyboard, after my unicomp ofcourse.

Yeah, how come Canada always gets all the cool stuff before the USA. I'm interested, too.

Anyone have a confirmed date? I want something this size with a standard key layout and the price seems really good on these. My other option right now a filco is like 60 bucks more.

The spacebar isn't, but the key layout on the leopolds are pretty standard to me.

Still, the CMstorm is almost identical to the filco tenkeyless. The main difference is to move one of the supports to accommodate the removable USB.

Keep in mind the CMstorm doesn't have a right "menu" key, replacing it instead with "function". I never use it (alt+space works just fine) so it's cool. It was pretty easy to get the multimedia keys working in openbox.

Also (and this is good) there's no ugly windows key. It's a much cooler flame symbol, which I prefer.

I'm going to get rid of my Leo. Not really digging the clears. Figure I'll just get something that doesn't need any extra mods to add new keys. I'm cool with everything you pointed out. Never used the menu key before.
Strange that there's not a hard date for these. Also I just left Frys and tried reds for the first time. I have to say I liked them. Felt very close to browns Imo. But idk if the red version will be offered here. And TKL filcos with reds seem hard to find.

$80 usd. I pronounce this the best TKL keyboard that's easy to get.

Edit: I only see cherry blue..?

That one with blues has been there for a week or so.  Waiting for the brown and red version to pop up.

I agree in the US this is an excellent option. Especially once they pop up on amazon (hopefully) and newegg with better shipping options. According to CMcarter the CM rep, the red switch version will carry a $10 premium.

Yeah, I posted some earlier for the Phantom project. I can repost if needed

The "hole" for the screw near the F-row is 1-2 units off. I mentioned how easy it'd be to add another one too the PCB but no-one said anything.

A CM rep on OCN posted that they are trying to get reds in sometime within the next few weeks. CMCarter is his forum name.

PCHome is also an option.
