Anyone got Pics of customized Leopold TKL or Choc Mini??

I have both of these boards. White TKL leopold and black choc mini.

Would like to get some different keycaps. But its my understanding that the right shift of the mini and I believe the space bar on the leopold are not standard.  Curious to see what others have done to get around this.  Would love to see pics of your creations. I am currently going through the "dressing up keyboards" thread but it seems to be full of Filcos.

I can't speak about the Choc Mini because I don't have one, but the Leopold definitely doesn't have a normal space bar. If you want to customize the Leopold you have a few options.

-Small customizations like WASD clusters and Escape keys

-You order 37 key sets like this

-You could order an 87 key set like this and just not replace the space bar. I can see this working in some color combos especially if the Leopold is black, but since yours is white, I'm not sure how that will work out.

-I don't remember who it is but someone on this forum sells modified space bars in various colors that he modifies himself to fit Leopolds.

Thats not bad.  I'm not into blank/engraved keys personally.  Actually they look awesome but I can't type on them. Thanks for the pics.  I'm considering a red 37 key set from qtan.  To go on my white leopold.  I like the red ESC key and thought it would look nice.

Thanks for the reccomendation. Ill soon be adding fullsize leopold and stepped/offcenter caps modding. I may also have a keyboard tune up/modding service along with a switch modding/swapping service.

Thanks, I'm holding off because the ESC key has white lettering.  And qtans PBT's have black. So that might look dumb.  I ordered an rgb kit from EK for now just to give it some sort of character. I originally thought they looked dumb but they have grown on me (rgb kits)

No, hes talking about the off centered stem on the caps lock keys in cherry doubleshots. Which would be awesome so only the bottom row would be needed from a moogle kit.


OP, you can get black on red doubleshot esc key from sp, they have them available for like 2 bucks.

The TheProfosist is doing a left shaft mod on my moogle2 center shafted un-stepped caps-lock.

He will mod center shaft to left shaft - "offcenter" - You will have an un-stepped caps-lock with an epoxied shaft on the left - What he is doing for me.
He will mod left shaft to center shaft - "stepped" - You will have a stepped caps-lock with an epoxied shaft in the center.

I got a black "Otaku" Leopold and a white "Otaku" Leopold and switched the 61 keys in the middle between the two. See third and fourth keyboards in my sig.  Spacebars fit just fine.  ;-)

The newer pbt sets from china are shipping with universal space bars now. So there will be less leopold trouble moving forward.

Most definitely so do I. But I mean if you own ten you can only use them so much. I have only 4 and I rotate them. But its hard to use them all.

What i decided to do with my black Leopold is get white key caps from qtan, and order a set of blues from wasd. Qtan's keys are compatible with the leopold, so I've heard, and put the blues on where my Starcraft hot keys are. I'll post picks of it when my whites come in the mail.

I can modify just about any spacebar to fit a leopold if needed.
