I bought the Razer Black Widow Ultimate from Newegg on 8/4/11, and have used it for maybe 40 hours total. Mostly gaming, with some typing to try out the Cherry Blues. I gave them a shot, but I prefer a lighter switch. No sticky keys or other issues with this keyboard, no visible wear to the keys. I also have a Microsoft Trackball Explorer 1.0. It's been in storage for a few years, and saw plenty of desk time before that. The bearings don't appear flattened to my eyes, though, and the ball rolls and tracks smoothly. There is some cosmetic wear to the paint that I tried to show in the pics.
