So I have been looking at the duck 1008 with green alps.
On the page at tiger imports it says they are tactile and clicky, but on this wiki page here it says green switches are not. Was wondering if somebody could clarify this for me.
This keyboard will be a gift for my mother who really needs it(she is typing on a old dell wireless that is all dirty and sticky...eww), but I'll use it from time to time also. It will be used only for typing so I would ideally want a tactile and click keyboard.
I haven't used alps at all so I would like some feedback on people who have used them or maybe even this specific keyboard.
The other boards I was looking at were the ducky 1008 with blue switches and the rosewill rk-9000 with blue switches. I personally have a rosewill with red switches and I love it, but it is a little more expensive.
The green alps ducky is about $70 shipped.
The cherry blue ducky is about $95 shipped.
The cherry blue rosewill is about $105 shipped.
So really I'm thinking if the greens are tactile and clicky I'll go with that one, if not I'll probably go with the cherry blue ducky.
How is build quality on the two cherry blue boards?
Think that is all the info. Thanks ahead of time.
