Btw I must add that the international competition, an the usual American attitude to lower cost, firing the well trained people and replacing them with "less expensive counterparts" has a part on the incident.

I was on one of the sister ships two year ago and 95% of the crew is from Philippines, most those people of them speaks little English, and very very little Italian, French, German and so on.

Training and language are very very important when you have to quickly evacuate a "little town" during an emergency.

Yes, the crash itself has nothing to do with them.

But the crash itself killed no one, was the delayed and not well organized evacuation that killed some people (I'm afraid way more than the initial count of three).

BTW it's incredible that in that ship when everyone had the exact position and speed (there is one zillion of plasma display with the GPS info, all over the ship) the events went more or less like on the titanic 100 year before, the main difference is in the sea (more forgiving than north Atlantic) and luckily in that strange winter we have (two years ago my car was buried by one meter of snow, this winter I haven't seen any kind of frozen water, and I'm in the cold north of the country.

twinkie slang is reserved for the homo sexual, so by default asian on the outside white on the inside get called banana's Unless of course that asian also happens to be gay as well, then it's a double slang for him/her.
