My WASD Custom arrived today!
« on: Thu, 12 January 2012, 11:44:59 »
Sorry for bad pics..

I know it's a very basic design but I like it :)

The orange keys are actually a lot darker in person.

I have to say I've only been typing on it for a short while but I already love it! I've tried a filco with blues in the past and I have to say these blue WASD's feel different and to me don't sound as loud.

Feels great, can't complain. Has a nice grip to it and doesn't make my hands sweaty.

I'm thinking of a WASD as my next board. But looking at more and more of them. They look more and more like toys. All plasticy and = /.

But grats, welcome to the dark side.

Are you talking about the keycaps or the general build?

Have you tried rebooting after hooking it up to PS/2?

PS/2 isn't plug and play like USB. Most mainboards 'disable' it, if no device is plugged in at boot.

>_<    Sheesh ... I guess I'm old.  I remember when my keyboard connector looked like this :

[ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 37348[/ATTACH]

Vyr1s is right. Back in the day (10yrs ago) you couldn't just willy nilly plug and unplug parts. It was serious business to replace a keyboard.

Wait till your WASD numlock lights up your bedroom at night.

Oh serial ports and setting IRQs.

NinetyOne, what was the turn around time like for getting the keyboard?

Did you get any dampeners with the blues?

It shipped on the 4th and I received it on the 12th. (today) And I'm from Scotland so not too bad.

And no I didn't get any dampeners. Tbh the keyboard isn't even that loud.

I will be finally be making the jump to a mechanical keyboard, and have been looking at an WASD board.
Just trying to figure out the artwork for the keys.
But so far from my testing, I am planning to snag blues.
