Full-Size Blank Keycap Set for cheap?
« on: Thu, 12 January 2012, 15:10:17 »
Hey all! I was wondering if anyone knew where I can buy a full-size set of blank key caps, black preferred, are are good quality that will not hurt my wallet? I have a Rosewill and love the keys on it but they have gotten dirty really quick and would love to have a set of blank keys to replace them with.

If anyone has a set of blank keys, please PM me with a price. Thank you!

if you don't care too much about what the keycaps are made out of, WASD provides a pretty decent set for cheap

Hm, $40 bucks is a bit much for keys, but I guess it's a good deal seeing as it's a full set.

I'm guessing PBT caps are "higher quality" than what WASD has to offer?

They don't get as shiny after a lot of use. But they're just about as thin, and produce the same sounds.

I've actually been interested in a new set of keycaps recently, are there any keycaps that have a better 'texture' than others? I've heard good things about Topre keycaps, but it's not like I can use them on Cherry MX. Any suggestions?

realforce/hhkb keycaps are PBT. They are very rough, but don't make your fingers 'stick'. Inevitably all plastics get shiny with enough time on them. But PBT seems to outlast everything else (correct me if I'm wrong though)
