Pure LED version With Aluminum case

laffindude: are you saying that the poker is only 60 in taiwan (presumably with abs caps)? that would sound about right.. then, +50 for milled case + pbt ~ 110 in taiwan for pure regular edition, 150 for anniversary edition? that turns into 140/190 in the US..

(note that i'm perfectly happy to pay 150 for a regular edition -- i want that milled case so bad! also, recall that in the bad old days of 1+ years ago, a filco blue tenkeyless was 150 from EKB...)

eta: didn't the vortex rep say earlier that milled case + pbt was the standard PURE model for mass production?

You have a slight misunderstanding. Pure != aluminum.
Regular edition Pure is plastic cased. It is basically Poker with another key and different function layer. This is 60 bucks.
Pure Anniversary is aluminum + LED + backlit keys.

They could be offering models not offered by KBT.
http://kbtalking.cool3c.com/article/40792 It has been on pre-order for almost a year. I think what should be considered regular edition is already established. If vortex want to make aluminum their standard, I doubt they can charge same price as the original plastic version.

yes, i stand by my guess of 140/190 in the US. <3 costar boards so happy to pay it, but i do realize that not everyone is... i suspect that if they do go for a higher price point it will be to avoid competing with their OEM'd product (CM storm, etc), which will be selling under the 100$ price point already

I will never understand why there is a need for LED's everywhere..

It's very easy, sit down at your computer and turn all the lights out in the room and it will become obvious....:der:

Plus, some of us would rather have LED's then just some different colored key caps(zzzzzzz)...:sleep:
