Wooden case?

As above basically.
I know there is a lot of interest in aluminium cases for various keyboards (poker in particular), I'm one of the guys interested.
However I though, what might be even nicer, wood?

I don't know if it would work in practice etc, but the idea is certainly appealing, just wondering if anyone has done anything like it?
Would go well with your wooden wristrest :P

A really nice wooden case would be awesome.

I could certainly make one myself but it would take many hours that I don't have.

So, what chassis would you build it around?

The only keyboard that I personally own, that is really rare and special enough to warrant that kind of investment of time and energy (ie money), is my Model F 122-key terminal keyboard. And how many of those could somebody sell?

My guess is that the VERY most serious key-pounders use Filcos, but even those divide between full-size (yeah!) and 10-key-less (boo) varietals.  (boob-lovers are off my radar screen)

But back to your point: a really nicely finished wooden case would be totally awesome.

And in my opinion, the ultimate "finishing touch" would be BRASS keys !

If I rained on your parade, I am sorry.
“No political truth is of greater intrinsic value, or is stamped with the authority of more enlightened patrons of liberty: The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands .… may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” —James Madison, Federalist 47
“All the powers of government, legislative, executive, and judiciary, result to the legislative body. The concentrating of these in the same hands, is precisely the definition of despotic government. An ELECTIVE DESPOTISM was not the government we fought for; but one .... in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among several bodies of magistracy, as that no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.” — Thomas Jefferson, commentary on Federalist 48

Not at all, I made the post so it could be discussed :D

I suggested the Poker, purely because that's what imsto did with the alu cases, and it seemed to be very popular.
I've no idea how much it would cost, nor how long it would take, although I imagine the Poker would be far more simple than a larger keyboard with a top to it etc.
