I like to use typeracer.com but from what I can tell, it seems typrx and typeracer work pretty much identically.

They both let you race with other people keep progress on your typing speeds. And they use excerpts from actual books/movie scripts etc.. rather than random assortments of words and let you read all the words at once instead of giving them to you one at a time (This is the most annoying thing about some of those typing speed tests).

Yep those are all good. Keyhero is great for typing lots of quotes without any racing and less time waiting, but you don't really get to see long term changes.

Offline, I like Amphetype. It comes with a bank of classic books/quotes and you can add your own (full books, vocab lists, single quotes). You can also see the speeds you type individual words, trigrams and letters (and other stats), set limits on how long/short you want quotes to be, set the font/size to your preference, etc..

My fastest word seems to be "their" at an average of 192.8 WPM. =P

What about http://speedtest.10fastfingers.com/ ?? I've used this for as long as i can remember although it isn't all that representative of real-world WPM because it doesn't use sentences.
