Fried Filco?

I sat down at work today, and began to type -- I experienced a static shock when my finger hit the S key.
A number of keys no longer function, and it appears as though the right Alt key is permanently registering.

Suggestions?

I bought it from Keyboard Co UK on Amazon mid-November. I've already contacted them, but I don't know what to expect.

Well that sucks,  87key or standard?   Have you unplugged it and plugged it back in to re-initialize the controller?

Standard. I've gone as far as trying to use it on other machines. No luck.

Hmm, I haven't been inside a standard model but I don't think that the 104 has a separate controller board like the 87key does.  So I think total replacement is going to be the only option.

Does that keyboard have diodes in its matrix? Perhaps a few of those just got fried and could be re-soldered.

I've had this happen to a mouse and keyboard (separate incidents) I owned. Luckily they were cheapo. Perhaps they need to make electrically grounded palm rests.

Coincidentally, my return window closes tomorrow -- so, if I don't hear back from Keyboard Co UK, I'll get a refund from Amazon. I'd like to do an exchange, but they're currently out of browns...
