Creating retro keyboard using sp grab bag

i'm kinda new here. I want to ask what kind of keyboard do usually people use to built a retro keyboard with the sp grab bag caps?
Currrent : Siig minitouch <blue monterrey alps>, kbt-RACE <cherry mx-red> with green LED, Filco MJ2 <cherry mx-ergoClear>, IBM model M

whichever you have :D just need mx compatible switches :D

but i see usually they using a compact keyborad.
