Nice G81-8000 with DS keycaps on eBay for $40
« on: Sat, 18 February 2012, 15:09:32 »
Saw this while searching through eBay. I've seen these go for less, but $40 isn't too bad to harvest caps off this board. The double-shot keycaps in this board look pretty sharp. (Typing on some now)

pretty sure that bottom row is gonna be offset stems so they won't work without modification. and that enter key on the numpad looks really screwed up.
Check out my sales thread.

They are usually beat to all hell if they are used. Well none cheaper I can find at the moment, but here is a seller that has 31 MY8000HUBUS, so might be able to get one that is not that beat up maybe...
Heres some MY7910HPBUS for cheaper, but has the short 2 unit right shift...

Here's a used lasered (I think) G80. Anyone know what switches these usually have...?

G80-8113LRDUS-2
Black PS/2 keyboard with 3-track magnetic stripe reader and touchpad. US 120 position key layout with 16 additional keys, two PS/2 connectors. MX gold crosspoint keyswitches (with laser etched keycaps), 59 programmable and 41 relegendable keys. Includes CHERRY Tools multifunctional configuration software and UPOS drivers.

I beleve these are browns.

Also, do the G84's have ABS keycaps?

Just checked my G84, yep ABS written on the bottom of the keycap

that G80 is probably browns or clears.

some 4100s have dye subs, some are lasered, and some are pad printed.

Hope you enjoy it! I really like the keycaps.

On my filco, I was able to get all the caps to fit with the exception of the capslock, and row 4 modifiers plus the spacebar.
