Hi!
I recently got a Qpad MK-50 to try out, and I've been using it reasonably happily for some 2 weeks. It has the Cherry red switches, which is nice, but something strikes me as odd about the feel.
Essentially, are the reds supposed to have a slightly "sandpapery" feel to them, when pressed down? My current kb has the blue switches, and it's a smooth ride save for the tacticle bump. But the Qpad reds have like a miniature coarse feel, and it's especially pronounced on the bottom row keys (ctrl, alt, etc, not zxcvbnm). I've taken out the keys and tried the switches as is, and the strange feel still manifests itself. I'm pretty sure it's not a case of McRip effect, since most keys are smooth.
I haven't gone through the engineering diagrams of the keyboard, but could something like the plate or the plastic casing have this kind of effect?
It seems like the Mk-50 and the Xarmor with reds aren't the most common kb's out there, so it's not very straightforward to just google it.
Thanks
