PBT White Print Keycaps on Leo
« on: Thu, 23 February 2012, 13:08:58 »
So I got a set of white print PBT keycaps for my Leo, and the spacebar seems to not fit correctly, although its looks like a universal type. With the spacebar in, it's not stable on the sides and it squeaks? The stock Leo spacebar does not squeak at all, really weird... Anyone with PBT on their Leos have this problem with the spacebar?

Others will chime in here, but my guess is that your new PBT spacebar isn't compatible with your Leopold.  Are you sure the stabilizers are set right?

Which PBT caps did you get: are they by any means a common set? Anything to help identify what kind of stabilizer they're meant for would help us out in identifying any potential incompatibility.
Do the right shift and enter keys have stabilizers that work correctly?
40% layout, anyone?

I purchased the PBT caps for a fellow GH-er and he got them from imsto's PBT group buy. The space bar has a total of 4 slots, everything lines up but it seems the stabilizer slots do not press on the stems all the way. Basically the middle slot fits perfect but the sides are very loose, but it lines up...I hope that makes some kind of sense. The stabilizers on Leo's are different from Filco stabilizers if that helps at all.

Any ideas?
