I just wanted to tell the "tsangan kit" optionfor the moogle group buy would be very useful for custom keyboard.
So I hope the 1.5x modifiers set( including 7x spacebar and 1x keys) would be included into this moogle group buy. :-)

So do your custom keyboards need center-stemmed modifiers?  Otherwise you could just use the real Cherry keys, right?

Not quite sure I understand as normal Cherry DS sets already have 1.5x modifiers sets and a 7x spacebar, I just don't know the reason to make a replacement when the original is better.

Am I missing something?

On the other hand I think all future keysets GB will include the "tsangan kit" so all the people with winkeyless keyboards can enjoy!

I really gotta take a pic to prove it I guess.
I see pictures of them not fitting, so.......

Does anyone know which shift it is from a cherry set that fits a filco. Its my understanding that the left shift fits. But the right does not?  Obviously this kit is looking to have both shifts now I believe. But previous moogles only had a right shift is that correct?

Which shifts will fit depends on the keyboard.  I have several Cherry key sets.  On some of them both shifts fit, on others only the left fits.  There are probably Cherry boards for which neither shift will fit the standard layout.

And yes, previous moogles only had right shift.

Yeah, I need center-stemmed modifiers even though I've been using the Cherry keys.
Because I'll keep making more 86keys-custom keyboards. :-)

What caps are those on that red "cherry" board? Just some really nice cherry doubleshots?

Buying more Cherry sets would be even better :P

Reasoning behind this

-Not a lot of interest for 1.5x moogle kit so the price will be higher
-At a low moogle kit price the kits are $25~$30
-A set of beige Cherry DS is like $40?

I'm keen for the base kit x 2 to complete the 2 x cherry sets I got from Clickey/Quarzac. But will depend price, as I only paid 20 each for these DS's.

Yeah, agreed.
But I love black Cherry double shot , especially winkeyless , and it's not easy to get them nowadays.
And you know, your kit in Raganarok GB  has been ordered over 50sets ( $14.00 )! :peace:
Besides, there are lots of people who love 86kyes-custom keyboard such as KMAC, A87, 356 series and so forth here in Korea.

Count me in for one once this gets going. I just need the standard mods. My Cherry fits the stepped caps lock from the G81-8000 I salvaged.
Risen from the dead for a model F.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

Yea winkeyless black DS are hard to find now, especially since black shows wear and shine a lot quicker then beige sets so finding use sets aren't as good.

I see where you're coming from this, hashbaz what do you think?

It's all the same to me.  I'll fine making 1.5x mods available if people are willing to pay for them.

The key profile is fixed by SP, unfortunately, unless we cough up thousands  of $$ for new molds.  The legends will look closer to Cherry legends than R2, however.  See the pictures from my RGBY group buy for comparisons.  There are also some additional add-ons this time around, like an ISO left shift and a stepped caps lock.

Me too. :)

Making the legends has been slow going, but I think I have all the issues sorted out now.  I'm hoping to get a prototype of the Enter key going early this week, and then I'll get the order thread up.

I'm planning on keeping this short and sweet.  One week to order, one week to collect money.  At that point the prototype should be done and if it is acceptable I'll put the order in.

Hmmm, so I need to fix my 2 x cherry white on black 2shawts I got from Clickey. Ctrl Alt Win Menu and Caps.

And being that my Enter key didnt fit on my filco without some gladwrap jammed into the stem holes, I'd be down for a big ass Red Enter key :D

Will keep an eye out I guess.

Some progress, finally!  Things have been tricky at home (wife is sick), but I sat down tonight and churned out the Enter key in a couple of hours.  The others should go faster now.

The base rectangle isn't to scale, but the key top rectangle and the size, line width, and position of the letters should be.  There's still a bit of tweaking left to do, but overall I'm very pleased with how it turned out.  SP is closed Fridays, but I'll get this to Melissa on Monday and have her make a prototype.  I should also be able to finish most of the other keys over the weekend and get the order thread up early next week.

I have a request for keys in a moogle kit.

Anyone who has taken keys from a g8x 1800 will need a 2 unit "0 Ins" key and a 2 unit vertical "+" key to fill out a full size board.

Can we do those? Is there demand?

I doubt there's demand, but if we can get enough orders to be in a reasonable price tier, I'll do SVGs for them.

I just realized that I have 4 sets of those 2 keys in black doubleshot + 1 "0" key without the "Ins" in black doubleshot. And tomorrow I may have another set... How many ziplock bags full of keys do I have down here? I need to start selling these things... I don't have nearly enough keyboards for all of these.

Besides there's the horizontal alignement issue, remember? If you stuck with the original ISO cherry left shift, the arrow is not horizontally centered as in the Moogle kit's right shift. So yes, we do need ISO shifts. :)
