Looking good to me, especially if you are coming from 5k series. I would personally wait to see what nVidia got for the new gen. But if you can't care for nVidia then u should just go right ahead.

I also wait for NVidia to have a comparison. My step will be from a 8800GT! ^^

Oh I like NV just fine. I am waiting for Kepler to upgrade my gaming PC. This isn't going into my gaming PC :)

lol, then I wouldn't really touch it the way it is... upgrade it when you feel your non-gaming pc is running out of steam graphics wise... but if you got spare changes that you have to spend... sure~ XD

7870 is in the sweet spot, 7850 is more expensive than its current direct competition (560TI).
Currently GMMK Pro: lubed 68g U4T, FR4 plate, extra gaskets, etc

I currently a 5850 (with 5870 bios )  running at 925/1225 and I can't forsee wanting another AMD this year..... It still runs BF3 on HIGH with average 60fps and I doubt that Diablo 3 (being a blizzard game) will tax the system much. The Nvidia Keplers just seem far and above the current gen ATI's cards.  I'm holding out for the 670's myself and plan to get an ivybridge with it.  But I'm waiting on a $1200  game to encourage me to spend that money.....

I just let these new cards lower the price of current cards to get a GTX 480 for $219. They will run hot but in my Corsair 600T (great air-cooling case), its running just fine. Its nice to see some new cards on the way.
