Want to buy a UK model M, *in* the UK :-)
« on: Tue, 06 March 2012, 22:51:41 »
Hi guys. I am looking for a nice condition model M, UK layout, UK sale. I need a decent price (don't we all?) as I am unemployed, but won't take a liberty with you.

Needs to be PS2 please, thank you :)

What was wrong with your other thread? Don't do the same you where doing on DT.
And as I said they are going for around 100gbp atm, you wont get one much cheaper.

You are considerate to advise me of the pricing. I'll leave it for others to decide what they are willing to negotiate, however. There are still some kind people in the world with these keyboards, who do not want them, but also do not want to make a massive profit. I'm not saying making a profit is wrong - that would be absurd, but you've basically told me "you won't get one much cheaper", and I have to say that you don't know that any more than I do, but thank you for the kind advice.

Yarr, we got three UK Model Ms in stock at the moment.  A little dirty, but we have guys here who do nothing but clean keyboards all day anyway:  We can get one smartened up without much trouble.

I'm sure I can spare one, I work in central London and live in Kilburn, 50GBP.  I also have an Italian layout one if you're interested ;-)

That's very kind of you. I shall consider it for now, and get back to you by early next week, if that is agreeable?

Regards, and thank you :)

Unfortunately not- they're all mid-to-late 90s (1996-1998) UK keyboards made in Scotland, with integrated PS/2 leads.  I'm not 100% sure on price right now- I don't want to be unreasonable, but at the same time I am looking for a good price for the charity- but I am working on it, and should have a clearer idea by the end of today.

One question, glossywhite:  How important is the F7 keycover to you?

If I am paying £50, I'd say it's pretty important!

You may have misunderstood:  I have a fourth keyboard, but it is missing the F7 keycover.  Because of this I would probably be willing to sell it for less than one of the complete boards.
