Haha - I know, but the iPad 2 is going to stay on the market and my model will retail for $629 so I think an immaculate used model is fair game at a $130 break.  I have an outstanding offer for $480

I understand its not a buy for the gadgeteer that needs latest and greatest (like myself) but in reality the iPad 2 is still pretty badass.

I would hold on to to ipad2 if i were you.

They are pushing the limit with the display. They ended up using double the light sources to light up this super dense display and ended up needing thicker battery to make up for it.  I wonder if steve jobs would ever approve of this if he were still alive...but since we were all told he was involved in ipad3 development.. so... egh..

on the other hand, i am gonna grab the reduced price ipad2 based model for my wife.

The 3 is heavier and thicker than the 2.  To be exact it is .11 lbs heavier and .03 inches thicker.  Pretty moot.

Why not get this ipad2 for your wife pitashen? :eyebrows:

I sold my iPad 2 early because I suspected they would reduce the price by $100. I figured going down $150 in price was practically a break even given the warranty, use, etc...

Now I'm debating waiting to buy it somewhere tax free, or using a discount of a friend/family member. 10% discounts add up on a $700 item.
