Where to find a Good Wrist Rest

as title states just wondering wrist rest options, I know Elitekeyboards where I bought my Leopold sells a leather one for $70 but I just cant see a need to spend $70 on a wrist rest anyone $50-60 and lower would be ideal

maybe im just a noob and should fork out the money for the leather one, is it really worth the money ?

well my only concern is Im going from a Steelseries 7G which has an amazing rest that comes with it, to a Leopold and I do ALOT of gaming so it would be a familiar feel to have a wrist rest.

Because I always slide my wrist on the wrist rest. My ducky wrist rest moves sometimes, it's really annoying when playing games.
Does this Filco slides too? Any pictures shows the bottom part? I'll upload my ducky bottom picture when home.

The one on Elitekeyboards sounds like the Leopold one mentioned.  It's described as "3-star", though.

Which of course begs the question: "Why aren't you selling 4-star and 5-star models?"

I have the ducky also.  It has a "rubbery" bottom, but it slides around very easily.  It's also not very thick.  I bought a cheapo mouse pad to glue onto the bottom to both raise it up and stop it from slipping.  Otherwise its fairly nice.  Kind of harder than I expected, but that is OK.

Thanks everyone for the input, wouldnt mind trying the ducky one if its really only $30 ish dollars, not too worried about sliding I have a big mouse pad i use under my keyboard and better mouse pad so nothing really moves at all.  As you can tell Im very new here, I couldnt find the ducky one anywhere through google can someone spare a link to where I can buy one?

Thanks again really glad I found this site. Also Got my Leopold TenKeyless today, really love the blues 100% happy with this purchase

I really like the ones from EK and to keep anything from sliding around employ some Egrips. What I like even better is the handmade wood ones from Eric Barney. He should even have some premade ones that should fit your needs.

My buddy was recently laid off and is trying to make a little extra cash. He also makes some really crazy slingshots as well, I use the one he gave to zing pennies at my annoying neighbors lol.

Now that the Filco and 3-Star have only an $11 difference is there any reason not to go with a 3-Star besides the lack of rubber?

It would be prudent to get the 3-star...

Because I'm seriously considering a substantial markup just so I don't have to read forum posts comparing them to the synthetic faux-stitched noxious smelling molded $10 wholesale junk (that should never be bought for more than $30) which I designed the 3-star rests to show-up and out-class in the first place. (Yes Ripster, the FILCO stitching is fake...) I initially priced the 3-stars low so that people didn't balk too much, but I need to start taking cues from The KeyboardCo. Marking up FILCO to high heaven has been golden for their brand image (particularly after all my hard work).

And I stand by the 3-star design that allows them to slide around easily on the desk too. I considered using suede or silicon (that doesn't smell) as a base, but I think the ability to move it with the keyboard relatively easily (given it's weight) is an advantage.  And the fact still remains that if you're resting whilst typing, you're doing it wrong. Raised palms increase speed and accuracy:)

Buy a roll of Egrips and the 3-Star wont move and nor will most anything that you put the stuff on.

I really depends on how you use your wrist rest if that is useful to you to me its a useless feature and would be uncomfortable because even though the 3 star is 3.5in I still have it 0.5in away from my keyboard. Thats why when i got my custom wood wrist rests they are all 4.25 width.
