Well I received my Ducky pink/purple Shining and what a piece of junk it is. I cannot believe I listened to those that said it was a good board.
Ripster and the other Ducky Stalker Club members were absolutely correct about this piece of crap........................................
Just kidding.
This is day 4 with it and so far so good. It seems to be solidly made and everything works as it should. The legs on the board are fine. So I guess those who were complaining had an earlier model that was not as robust. Also the light bleeding thru the backs of the key caps seems to not be affecting my key caps.
I think the keys are a bit smaller than my Deck keys but I am not positive of that. I will measure later. The purple/pink lights are really bringing out my feminine side and these hi heels are killing my feet but it is nothing a good soak won't cure. LOL
It was sold as purple leds but they are close to pink. And I see that a store in England is actually advertising it as pink.
I am not complaining. It looks great.
The browns are definitely lighter than the Deck clears are and that is fine by me. I do not think I am going to be one of those who has to use a certain switch as I do not type a lot other than to respond to emails and post in forums. I do like the clears but I can already tell that I will like the browns too. I have a Deck 82 coming and it has blacks and I am sure it will be fine also.
Tidbits:
1. Some of the leds stay brighter than the rest as Ducky wanted. Num lock and the calc button (shortcut key) in the upper right.
2. The calc button (shortcut key) led stays on all the time.
3. I disabled the windows keys as my right outside palm keeps hitting it as I am typing. Lazy palm syndrome I guess. Or it needs to placed somewhere else:)
4. The last 3 keys (shortcut keys) on the upper right of the board do not have leds under them. Not sure why they did that.
5. Primary symbols are on top of the secondary symbols. Not a deal breaker but odd.
So as of right now I like it very much.
