First Mechanical Keyboard - Ozone Strike
« on: Mon, 26 March 2012, 18:45:59 »
I just got the new Ozone Strike I ordered after trying it out at a friends house. I had never used a mechanical keyboard before so after trying his I was so delighted with how it felt that as soon as I got home I went on Newegg and bought one. It has Cherry Mx Black switches and what I now know are printed keys with a different type of font on them. I really like this keyboard so I am wondering if you guys think I should try other types of switches or just stick with Cherry Mx Blacks since I already know that I like them. Oh and if you guys want pictures I can post some but I can't compare the quality of this keyboard to others because this is my first one.

Welcome to GH!

First i've heard of this keyboard. How is the build quality? The wires seem kind of thin, but maybe it's just the picture.

MX blues or browns are worth trying to see if you will like the tactility.

The Ozone Strike is one of the favorites here in Korea.  Judging from photos I've seen of WASD boards, I'd say the Ozone Strike bears a striking resemblance.
Here's a better view of the board.

Actually the cord on this keyboard if anything seems thick to me at almost 1/2 " in diameter. That's probably because of the connectors at the end though ( 2 usb, mic, and headphones). It's a braided cord and it started out pretty stiff but it's fine now after a few days.

I have really liked the quality of this keyboard so far. I haven't had any problems with it and it is pretty sturdy and doesn't slide around on my desk like my old rubber dome keyboard used to. I would have to say I like everything about this keyboard so far with the one nuisance being that the 3 indicator leds are pretty bright but not blinding at least. Other than that I don't see any major flaws to this keyboard unless you don't like the font used for the keycaps but I do so that's not a problem for me.

(I can't use more than 1 url in a post apparently so 1 picture is all I I'll post for now until I figure out how to do multiple links in one post.)

It's same as the tt meka g1. Just has a less familiar brand on it and usually cost less.
