ok so recently they previous keyboard i had broke for no apparent reason about a week out of warranty. While most people would be upset about this i saw it a grand opportunity to try linear switches. I live in Australia, so based on availability and a bit of research lurking the archives of geekhack i have decided to buy a Leopold w/ reds. However the website i am buying them off Mechkeyboards.com is down for a couple of days. I would really like an otaku board but they are unavailable on mechkeyboards.com which is the only Australian based mech keyboard selling website i know and i am not willing to pay 67 dollars for shipping to get one from elitekeyboards anyhow. There is however a set of blank ducky keycaps on the mechkeyboards website.
my question is this; how do ducky keycaps stand up to leopold keycaps. i have heard that they go shiny fast but i have also heard the lettering wears off the leopolds rather quickly. I would appreciate some input from someone who owns both keyboards or is generally knowledgeable in the field of keycaps.
