Intel Z68 motherboards for a IBM 1391401 keyboard?
« on: Tue, 03 April 2012, 01:41:54 »
Thinking this might as well go here.  Thanks to some help here a few years ago, I've been successfully using an IBM 1391401 plugged directly into the PS/2 port of an AMD 790X motherboard.  I'm looking at switching over to Intel, specifically to a Socket 1155 board (e.g., Z68 board and i5 cpu), but seeing enough user reports of USB and occasionally PS/2 keyboards having at least initial problems with certain of these motherboards to think it worth asking here if anyone has any experience with this combo, the P67 series or any of the other Sandy Bridge-compatible boards.  I've got some adapters laying around if need be.  Thanks,

I have never had an issue with PS/2 ports on Z68 boards.

Good to hear. I may go with a P67 board, but they should be similar.
