Is it feasible to physically split a keyboard, maintaining its full functionality?

Long answer: yes if you are very knowledgeable and skilled.

The only boards that have probably been successfully split down the middle are ergonomic boards.

There are some tenkeyless conversions described in the mods section, this is going to be similar except that you will need to keep both halves functional.
