Good news for anyone. The problem with mechanical keyboards is there is no competition so you get companies like thekeyboardco and elitekeyboards milking it.
For example HHKB Type-S is ¥29,800 that is $369.64, EK sells it for $490! They manage to commit this daylight robbery because they make deals with suppliers to make sure they are the only ones who can sell. Good ol' capitalism.

It's a double-whammy really. Naturally you guys have a larger market place, so companies carry a much wider selection (even comparing chain stores of the same name on both sides of the border). The real kicker is being held hostage by the shipping companies. Most places in the US won't ship USPS to Canada, too many lost packages they say.

I think everyone is just guessing NCIX since it's the largest and most likely. Otherwise I'd have to say it's either Amazon (They're already selling them in the US it probably isn't too hard to bring it to Canada) or a new company.

I also would highly doubt it's going to be via amazon.ca... it's not anywhere near as competitive in Canada as it is in the US.

yeah I spoke with them a while ago and was told the same thing. My guess is that its NCIX. Amazon.ca sucks and NCIX is probably the most popular store here.

Well when I said it was going to be NCIX I kind of had "some" backings to it.

If you see it this way, considering that NCIX recently started selling das keyboards, I'm going to assume that they're(NCIX) is expanding their mechanical keyboard catalog. Well this is from what I've analyzed. :>
