MechKeyboards in Australia are having a clearance sale on 86UB keyboards for AU$200 (regularly AU$259). This is the older model of tenkeyless Realforce boards, with no indicator lights.

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with them, and I've never ordered from them so I can't say how good they are as a vendor.

These geeks don't even offer the option to ship to anyone other than yourself last I checked. Seems like a fairly basic oversight for an online retailer.

You might want to mention its $200 SHIPPED.

Also they ship to anyone, anywhere in Australia. Just change your postage address in paypal and they'll send it there. I bought mine and a friend's poker from these guys.

Really tempted to buy one for work... but unfortunately I want a fullsize

I have bought 2 boards off these guys and can confirm great service and fast free shipping, just in case anyone is on the fence with this

I'd be willing to proxy this over to anyone in the US (at cost + shipping) as long as they don't mind me opening the box to try the topre switches out!

Though since the shipping will probably be about $60AUD, it'll only be like $20 cheaper overall.

I'm pretty sure Mechkeyboards do not have many of these so anyone who is interested should get in quick. PC Case Gear are the Topre distributors in Australia now so very doubtful Mechkeyboards.com will stock these in future.

Its different that's for sure. Im glad I went the cherry route first, as I more than likely wouldnt appreciate it as much.

Its satisfying on a different level. Mechs for their noise and accuracy.

Topre or tpying all day.

Still use my cherrys for gaming.. (browns and reds)

as the variable just isnt up to it..

but basically. am thinking ill sell all bar one of my cherries.. (for a keep sake) and a get a uniform 45g for home.. (gaming)

The uniform 45g Topre boards are my favourite too.
Despite that, I use a 55g at work and a variable at home (and for gaming) because the only 45g boards I own are full-size and somewhat rare.

They are very different in a lot of ways.. But both give typing pleasure (has some coined a term for that yet?)

I think I'll always love my cherrys, for lots of reasons.. but yeah, they are very different beasts.
