Hey all, I just wanted to make a quick thread saying how much I've enjoyed this site and all the information it has given me over time. I check it at least once a day if not more and always have something to read/learn.
My interest in mechanical keyboard began a few years back when I met someone on the road while working who was using it in an office. He noted how many co-workers gave him a hard time due to the extra noise but he loved the way it felt. After trying it myself I knew I had to have one. Well a few months ago I caught a sale at Fry's for a Razer Black Widow Ultimate for $80. I know, I know...it's not the greatest, but it got my foot in the door and was a good gateway drug. I wanted something with the USB ports and audio jacks for convenience, but as time has gone on my tastes have changed and I wanted something different.
I wanted to try a Tenkeyless setup and have something I could take apart and make my own without feeling too guilty, so today I ordered a Cooler Master Storm QuickFire Rapid w/ Blue's. I've already been eyeing up keycap sets and getting ideas of how I'll customize the chassis to get rid of some of those logos and make it my own.
Anyway, enough rambling. Thanks for the great site and I hope to continue to learn and share my knowledge as I hang out.
