They're ok, but still kind of crud compared to some, like the mushkin chronos mx/dx which have been able to be had at similar price point lately.

Perhaps a little slower than the SandForce based drives (like the Mushkin) but I'm not going near SandForce for a good long while.

BTW - these might last at this price for a while, BeachCamera also has them at $129 through Amazon and their own site.

Owned a Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe since November. Zero issues with it so far. A few of my friends have the same drive (bought it off recommendations from them) and none of them have encountered any issues either.

BTW, wasn't an article out earlier this week about the top brands (Crucial, Kingston, etc) lowering their prices to create a price war and drive out the lower-end companies? If I find the article, I'll link it.

If you live in the Baltimore area, the Best Buy located in Downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor is going out of business.
Everything there is on discount, I got a normally $99.99 32 GB Vita Memory card for $69.99.

Some items have additional discounts off the sticker price, like I saw all PC games are 30% off there sticker price.

I also notice HDD prices are going back down. HDD jumped a little more than a year ago when Western Digital lost a production plant to floods in Thailand. WD's production got wiped out, and other HDD makers raised prices as a response to increased demand and fewer available drives on the market. I think from a combination of SSD technology becoming cheaper to manufacture, and the drop in HDD prices

I've got two of these, a 256GB and a 128GB, and they are by far my favorite SSDs. I got the 256GB a year ago for around $360 and I jacked the 128GB off Newegg earlier this year at $128 (how sick was that promo? it was retailing for ~$180 everywhere at the time).

Another price drop from buy.com and amazon. I think this is the lowest I've seen so far at $100 shipped, and shave off another $5 if you're a new customer (aka make a new email

). Amazon is a sneaky one. A few hours ago, I checked right before posting this and it was at $125. It seems like every time a retailer drops their price way down, amazon also temporarily does the same to be near there. Currently at $109.99 at the time of writing this post. A tad higher, but perhaps a better choice if you consider tax, prime membership, or retailer reputation:
