I'm not in the EU but I'm curious what benefits do you get with the account?

Does it just allow you to play?

Yeah, you can download the client and you'll have full access to the game.

Usually the game costs around £30. I'm saving you £20.

Isn't it $60? I was surprised at the original price the OP listed. Might be cheaper over there. If I could use it in the US I'd do it. =|

GLWT!

You can use it in the US! Online you'll just face people in the EU. No different whatsoever apart from the extra 10 ping you'll have. Probs less.

You can play the full single player as well? I don't really do multiplayer so that wouldn't matter to me.

Of course you can! Do all the challenges, as well as play the millions of different custom missions people have made themselves using the editor. :)

Nope. I've got an American SC2 account and I get about 9 extra ping.

the ping depends a lot on your location/ISP:
We can talk about a 10 ping increase, or a 100 ping increase.

I'd prefer the points since the money would go into my Mum or girlfriends PayPal. I've used this site before https://www.gamepointsnow.com/ and they email you the code instantly. You could then email me the code and I give you the account.

Or not. I've had numerous smurfs. You can even check the names linked to them if you like since once you make them, you can't ever change the name linked even if you email Blizzard.

Wanting to have different accounts for each race. If you're stuck in a league which just won't let you out... Which happened to me with my super old one.

Looks like that site wants to sell me points for North American gamertags only, doesn't sell them in the amount of 1200 points, and what point amounts they do have are out of stock. :/

Traded!

I tried to log in with the Starter Edition that I already had installed but apparently that doesn't work so I'm downloading the entire game which it looks like is going to take a few hours.

It looks like I can change the region on the client download page. Does that actually work?

You should be able to sign into the starter edition if its the same region, they use the same client for it.

I was able to sign in but it still notified me about upgrading because it was the starter edition. But it is the US Starter Edition that I have installed. I'll just have to see what it does after I download and install the English EU version.

Good job mate ;)

You entered the key and all that yet?

Im sure its the same client, I copied the full game client over my starter edition files as they were downloading (to save time) and that worked, not sure about regions though

There's no key to enter since the account is already setup and everything. Of course I have a new name now too since you can't change that. Have to wait for everything to download before I can really test it out. 3.90 GB out of 7.08 GB so far!

Lol, try copying the files from the starter edition over where the new ones are being downloaded

Worked for me after a bit of tweaking.

No need to DL 7 GB that way!
