That's not funny, fossala. April 1 was almost a month ago now.

Do you mind taking the time to explain what got you in this mood? I see a lot of trolling and opinionated posting in the forums, but it shouldn't ruin the whole experience for you.

And just in case I got trolled.

people complain about stupid junk and do unreasonable things everywhere. taking a break is good for everyone but imo you're a big benefit to this forum and i hope you don't leave for too long.

I was trolled on my 3rd post or so. This place seems to be overrun with kiddies, but I just take it with a grain of salt. It's been like that since the good ole BB days.

This seems kind of sudden.

Sure, there are idiots and *******s here, but, hey, welcome to the human race.

I have always had trouble seeing the reasoning behind the one or 2 dozen people here who seem to have a running insult flame war amongst themselves, but the rest of us are pretty much here for information about keyboards and entertainment.

PS - and I don't find members calling each other names to be entertaining

I think you should reconsider man. For you to just leave like this doesn't really help the cause. You're a moderator and are one of the few chosen to put a halt to the trolling that goes on.

I would agree in terms of the trolling and attitude of various members here, however I wouldn't leave as a result, since you still no doubt can help new members etc, just do your best to ignore those who try to ruin things.

I don't see why people get so emotional about prices of things. If you feel that something is overpriced then don't buy it.

People don't like to see things selling for more than they would pay for them and therefore feel the need to comment.

If this is about pricing; A price is merely a currency of will. What you or others are 'willing' to pay for. For example; If you pay $100 for an item and find out a week later someone selling for $80. You didn't lose $20. You merely got an item for the price you were willing to pay.

As for trolls and immaturity someone in this thread stated it well. Welcome to the human race. Plain and simple. I'm not going to say deal with. Take the good parts, leave the bad. Don't take the bad and forget the good.

That's my 5 cents (Australia doesn't have 2 cents! and I'm not going to paypal or bank transfer for two XD)

DT is not going to be any better:  same trolls, and same problems over there.

IMO, leaving is the worst thing to do if you are really upset about the way things are going in this forum.  The better alternative is to stay and fight whatever "childishness" or "exploitation" you perceive is happening.  I'm not telling you there is no childishness or exploitation, but I just may be more inured to it than you, since I live and work in New York City, and I see nothing but childishness and exploitation every day.  The rich are getting vastly richer and they are exploiting the middle class more and more.  It's getting ridiculous.  Sales of homes worth more than $20 Million have hit another record peak.  So if you don't like it, you can do something about it.  You could join a protest movement, or the Communist Party, or you could just complain about it on this forum.   Being a complainer, may not make you a white male version of Rosa Parks, but at least you will be doing something.  Douchebags with too much money are everywhere, and they ruin everything (check out the gentrification of Harlem and even Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhoods in NYC).  It's the way of the world.  But running away and hiding is not the answer.  Standing up and denouncing them is a better way to go.

Unlucky fossala is leaving. I was never that familiar with him, but judging from the responses ITT, it seems like he was a valuable member of the community and will be missed, for those of us that aren't also over at DT already.

I have to agree with some of what he was saying, though. For a while there I stopped coming here, mostly because I was so busy, I didn't really want to spend my spare time reading people going out of their way to rip on Ducky keyboards for no reason (as an example), and/or just generally ****ting up what were otherwise decent threads.

I'm starting to force myself to have more time off, though, so I should be appearing a bit more around here again in the near future, though.

Cherry G80-3494(LCYUS-2), w/ MX Reds for Portal Mod

Not mine, but I\'ve got access to:

Filco Majestouch 2 \'Ninja\' Tenkeyless, w/ MX Blues

GH is pretty fail now. It's sad, too, because, IMO, it really helped open up the mechanical keyboard "scene" in the US.

Then the OCN crowd came along...

My take is that Deskthority is where haters go who can't handle the reality of Geekhack.
