Yeah, I really wanted the vimcaps. Whoever took over that part of the groupbuy needs to get those keys going. ;)

According to this thread the vim key is in the novelty groupbuy and the vimcaps is in the NOIR groupbuy, which it doesn't look like anyone took over...

Why not a 'linux/unix/gnu' GB?

Fantastic :-)

Some ideas (getting a bit off topic here but oh well):

-Bash
-Nmap eye
-KDE/Gnome
-FreeBSD devil
-'rm -r'

Personally, I wouldn't mind dyesub PBT over doubleshot ABS if possible.

Consider this "interest check" successful then! :D

Hmm, not sure what would be more cool for Vim. The logo dyesubbed on white would be pretty cool, but the original white doubleshot into green was pretty awesome looking too.

A stepped capslock, white on black doubleshot, with the vim logo to go with white on black Cherry doubleshots is what I'm hoping for.

I really like how the 2-shot vim key turned out.  I want to get it on a regular DCS keycap as well as the spherical caps from the previous round.  I like the rm -r idea to.

I'm up for variations too.  The caps lock idea is a good one.  I had it mapped to Esc for a long time for use in vim.  I was thinking modifiers as well since everyone has 1000 novelty Esc keys already.

If I wasn't already using caps lock for backspace colemak style I might have gone for it as an escape key. Shai Coleman (the guy who made colemak) uses the tab key rather than escape to exit modes. While I don't know if I'd want that either, it does remind me of how I really think that we need to get /something/ to replace the tab key one day in one of our group buys.

For now I'd be happy with Vim on escape since it's pretty symbolic, might be a bit hard to get the quantities needed for other locations I fear but you could always try of course. Also, if it was doubleshot on a green background, it would be too close to my green shifts from RGBY kits. :)

My Paypal will be maxed after Red Cherry and legend collection unfortunately.  I'm happy to organize and/or do SVGs to make it happen though, if we can find someone else to collect payments, or to hand over the reins to someone else.
