Mysterious switch under mechanical keyboard
« on: Wed, 02 May 2012, 16:11:12 »
Hey Everyone!

I have a Focus fk-8000 mechanical keyboard. I noticed there is a vertical switch that has the letter A and letter X either side. I have no idea what this does and i haven't touched it. I have a DIN To Mini-Din Keyboard Converter which I am currently using that connects my keyboard (which has a DIN big fat connector to my PS/2 port (mini din).  Here is a picture of that Unknown mysterious switch...

Any idea what this could be for? I have googled and no findings at all.

Thank you for your help.

I'm guessing it switches the keyboard from XT to AT mode and back again.

Been wrong in the past, though.

If it works now, leave it.

Yup, that's exactly what it is. You'd want to keep it in the A position...
