White Majestouch Tenkeyless.
« on: Mon, 14 May 2012, 04:40:59 »
Hey there.
I've been directed here after a long and irritating search so I apologise in advance if I seemed flustered or annoyed.

So, I have a BlackWidow Ultimate, looking to replace it with a white Majestouch Ninja tenkeyless with Cherry MX brown switches.
Only problem is, I can't find a retailer who sells them with brown MX switches in Australia.
All I can find are black switches, and I really do not want black switches.
Only other option (that I can  would be to get a Majestouch 2 and replace it with blank / sideprinted keycaps.
(Retailer I'm talking about is http://www.auspcmarket.com.au)

Basically, I have two questions;
1. Does anyone have any idea where I can get blank / sideprinted keycaps that are the same colour as Filco's white.
("the same" means the same shade, not "similar", not "close enough", the same; I cannot stress this enough)

2. Would anyone happen to know of another retailer (Australian, heck, anywhere in Asia will do) where I might be able to find the elusive white, tenkeyless Majestouch Ninja with Cherry MX Brown switches?

If not, thanks anyway; if so, I thank you tremendously in advance.

I suggest emailing Auspcmarket and asking them if they can get it in, if you haven't done so already.

I asked if they could get the White Majestouch tenkeyless with blues and they listed it.

I don't think that you will be able to find it anywhere else in Australia, if they can get it for you I'm sure they will, as long as you don't mind waiting.

Thank you for your reply.
I e-mailed them around five hours ago with no reply as yet, but seeing as yours seemingly got an answer, I have hope yet.

AusPCmarket are the only reseller for Filco in Australia as far as I'm aware.  They seem to get shipments quite regularly though, a mate of mine wanted to order a TKL mj2 with browns just over a week ago but was complaining they had no stock, then the following day they came in.  They just received stock of the red switched Filco's today too so it may not take long to order in at all.

Also see here for caps, not sure how close the white of imsto's PBT blanks are compared to Filco's but there's pics there for you to judge.

Yeah, they should get back to you fairly quickly, I think it took a day and a half or so for them to get back to me, so that's not too bad at all.

Hopefully they will be able to get it in for you.

Personally I would change the standard key caps for a PBT set, but I do not know of any that are exactly the same colour as the white Filco. Mind you, black keys on a white board looks nice in my opinion.

Just thought I would mention this, but if you would also like to get any else, might be cheaper to get them from ArmyGroup tw. Their shipping prices aren't the best but both the keyboard and wrist rest (for example) are about $20-25 cheaper each.

I'm planning to get 2 wrist rests soon (tm blizzard entertainment), so that's why I'll be going through them.

Thanks for the replies and thanks to mickd for the retailer suggestion, I'll look into that tomorrow, but again, thanks for the replies, really appreciate them.
I've decided to get a black tenkeyless and replace the keycaps with a set of blank white keys, similar to what Ripster has displayed here.
I think that would look nice in my room. c:

They're actually KBC white engraved PBTs, not blank.

I know, that's why I said "similar". c;
