haha yeah my resists are only 450-500 and I had no problem finishing off the butcher with both teammates down.  I'm sure elites will still slaughter me in act 2 though, haven't tried it yet.

There is no change for me except that I do 9k less damage which sucks. Now Act 1 is getting harder :(

The thing for me wasn't damage...its the attack speed which calculates true dps and not just damage.  Even though my damage was lower than DHs, my attack speed was typically higher allowing me to keep up a little better...plus for.kiting and microing the attack speed is HUGE

So the new drop rates seem to have ruined (fixed?) the AH economy.  You can get 1000+ DPS weapons for like 50k gold now, and there's a ton of 1400+ weapons in there.

That's reminds me, does Squirt stop appearing after Normal? I'm in Act 3 Nightmare, and I don't see her anywhere in the Castle Keep. Still need that damn bell.

Anyone been paying attention to that AtheneWins guy on YouTube?

Really?  I bought a bow with 980 and 1030 last night both for about 100k combined.  Maybe it's just bows.  I know there were wands with 850+ dps for ~50k last night because I checked on it for someone.

Finally progressed through a2 but a3 is murder. I hear the drops in a3 are junk atm (was told blizz admitted to this), so I'll just stick with end of a1 and a2 farming.

If anyone wants to get some HC going, I'm down. All barbs?!?

Me(barb), a DH, a wiz, and a WD ran through all of act 3 from ghom up to cydea post-patch, and found zero upgrades throughout the 5 or 6 hours that we played. Mind you, we're not super geared... but we're up to diablo progression wise.

I find that 30k dps isn't good enough for act2 with my wiz, any clue to what my dps should be in act2?

I run through Act 2 solo with about 30k dps unbuffed (and upwards of 38-39k buffed) with little to no trouble.  Maybe I'll die a few times, but yeah...not too terrible.

I've pretty much stopped playing too. The endless grind with little chances of rewards wasn't fun anymore. Im putting my hopes into Torchlight 2, and maybe GW2.

Ghom is easily killable with a barbarian, if they havent fixed the overpower rune.

Also completely bored with this. I play maybe 5-10 mins with my morning coffee. I did have fun during the limited playtime I had with some GHers, though.

In the same boat as many others in hoping that GW2 gets me back into enjoying gaming.

i've not logged in  well over 3 weeks now... and i honestly don't think i'm motivated to do so until  the legnedary items are sorted out.  i'm so far behind on the economy that there's no way i can participate in the auction house simulator without dumping time i simply don't have into it.  i need a game that i can pick up and play when i can afford it... and this game simply no longer meets that criteria.  i'm stuck right now, and i need either refined skills or new gear, and i don't have the appropriate combo of time/patience to do that.

that being said... i'm actually really looking forward to Torchlight2.  i loved the beta play time i had, and think it might actually better suit me right now.

funny enough, path of exile is getting another beta weekend... but i'm not the least bit interested.  at least they're open about the pay-to-play nature of the game, and when i did play, it was clear that it was still possible to progress (slowly) without paying.

Oh yeah. I forgot I even pre-purchased Torchlight 2. If it is anything like the first, it'll be a lot more fun because of the crazy assortment of drops and altogether less hardcore-grindy than Diablo.

I've been playing through torchlight 1 recently, and i'm having more fun with it than I did with D3. I like the pet system too, it's simple and very intuitive.

I enjoyed D3 especially when just with friends but while I enjoy challenging combat I don't have the time to play the 'AH' game. Probably my worst purchase of 2012 but it did give me 60~ hours of fun which is a fair amount.

It's hard to match the hype that came along with it; unless they had a longer story line, I'm not sure where else they could have improved. (pvp will come eventually, and they will be making the game easier) But they also had to try to make a game that could last as long as D2 which was pretty difficult if not impossible.... Starcraft 2 was different, starcraft 1 wasn't even being played to its' full potential yet, but Diablo 2 was pretty beat to death. Harder bosses?? More quests?? What else could have blizzard added to make the game more worthwhile??

non retarded legendaries..

better set pieces..

better followers..

even just being able to bloody well duel would have saved it (for me atleast..)
