How do these boards compare? Do they both use the same type of stabilizer? I am looking into buying the 1087 and just wanted to know before I purchased it. I already own a Leopold with brown switches and I would get the similar with the Ducky. Thanks for you help ahead of time.

Why don't you try a filco?

I would but I can't find one. They are out of stock on Keyboard Company Uk and Amazon doesn't have a TKL version.

the 1087 is lower quality than their 900x series, specifically the fact that it's multi-piece case is less than rigid.  it's still a plate mounted board, so there shouldn't be issues with the keys or switches themselves though.  for the money, it's not a bad choice, and the quality is better than it had been a year or so ago, but it's not on par with either the Leo or Filco 10keyless boards.

you will find, however, that there's a bit of a negative stigma surrounding them here, which i feel has a lot to do with a few members being very vocal based on reviews and single incidents experienced by someone other than themselves.  take that feedback with a grain of salt.

I might do that if I don't decide to buy a Ducky.

Considered CM Storm Rapid? If you are interested in blue switch version you can get them for around $65. Other switch is a little more, and US stock is harder to find, but you could get brown / red / black from PCHome for a decent price. I think they are still cheaper than Leopold by a little. I have had 2 Leopold and they are very nice boards. I don't see any reason really to pay price premium for Filco, they aren't that special in my opinion.

One main reason is I would like to purchase some PBT keycaps and they won't fit on my Leopold because of the space bar so I was looking for another model keyboard that I would not have this problem with.

After reading the link that you posted I have come to the conclusion that I am not going to buy a Ducky and will probably try to find a Filco.

KBC PBT sets have universal space with Leopold FC200 mount. It shouldn't be an issue anymore really.
