Mine is isccredit but I paid already. I did inform you that I put in an order twice because I didn't get an invoice the first time. Sorry for the confusion. Please cancel that order as I confirmed and paid for the hangul set already. Thanks.

So how many orders from China? Maybe I can volunteer to be the local distributor here, which should be cost-effective for the Chinese buyers regarding to the shipment.

I realized, a moment ago, that there's one thing I'll miss with these set: matching 1.5x modifiers (and 1x keys and a spacebar to go in between). Most likely there are a few others who think like me (since it's been discussed a lot earlier in this thread), so I came up with two ideas that I'd like to know what you people think about:

1. Ask Imsto to do it. This way we'll get matching keycaps, but most likely we'll need to buy a lot of sets at quite a high price, if it's even possible.
2. Buy these complementary "winkeyless sets" from SP. We'll get our caps, but they'll be made by SP, if you get my point.

I don't really know if this is good thinking or not, but I feel like it's worth considering at least.

I am under the impression that imsto is the one producing all these caps?

He could offer the tsangan kits prolly........ without the stepped caps lock of course.

I will choose option 1 with no hesitation, at least that would be the closest to Cherry profile.

We have discussed this with imsto many, many times. He told me that MOQ was 3000 pcs to produce winkeyless sets. Not gonna happen.

There is no mold existing at the factory these keyset come from for 1.5 bottom row or 7units space, so they need to make it worth thier while. If could find out where the hell Noppoo Choc mini keycap come from, it could be resolved maybe. Same problem for ISO enter, no mold right now.
It might be more practical to try and get them from Cherry... lol.

If someone else want to do an order for SP keycap or with qwerkeys, you feel free but I won't.

This is the problem with the first idea. Ridiculously high amount of keycaps needed to be bought for it to come true. Is that 3000 sets or 3000 1.5x keycaps (in the correct row of course) by the way?
I'm not really interested in how high the MOQ is, but rather the total cost. Maybe this isn't the way it works in the keycap industry though - I don't have a clue.

SP would at least be a bit better than badly matched keycaps, but then we'll get semi-ugly keycaps in the wrong row with the wrong feel. If the Imsto option isn't an option, I guess this is how we'll need to proceed anyway. For more or less obvious reasons I wouldn't be able to coordinate such a group buy though, so you could say this is just me speaking hypothetically.

I contacted Cherry for the lulz. I am sure they will tell me to go to hell but we will see. Even if can get keysets from them, it will be for next time not this buy.

Is there still time to add one additional set to my order?  If so, I'd love a set of Blue-legend ANSI.

Please advise, etc.

Thanks in advance,

That's interesting, have "we" never tried contacting them before?

Don't I recall a rep from Cherry coming out and taking input on possibly creating a factory made Ergo Clear with Purple stems? So they seem open to the community.

It depend. I try asking Cherry about some things before but they were not really freindly. Response was kind of not a big buisiness looking to order 10,000 keyboard... we don't care. But it is possible to order bulk blank caps for sure from Cherry since Chaos does. If I can't get in touch with Cherry myself I will ask them for thier contact. It's likely to be a more expensive option though I have a good feeling but it will be the only way to get ISO and maybe 1.5 mods in the forseeable future in Cherry profile pbt.

Sounds like getting some DS keys are even more out of the question from them, then.

imsto just needs to convince the manufacturer to include 1.5x mods + 7x spacebar to be included in their base kit.

If I can get ISO enter and 1.5 mod from Cherry, still have imsto do the dyesub part.
I think problem is factory have no big customer that use 1.5 so they probably see no reason to do that. Only iOne and Noppoo use 1.5 still on current mass production board. So if they don't have those companies as a customer then why would they have keysize no one they supply to is using? Same thing with ISO, none of thier large customer make ISO board apparently.

We just have to convince them, that between GH, KBD/OTD and DT that there IS a big enough market for adding ISO and 1.5x mods and 7x spacebar to their base kit.

lysol, quick question/request:
Are the dead keys on the US INT set in black or red (or green or whatever, not black, not blue)?
If not, would you please consider it? It just would match the layout so much better.

To the other US INT set buyers: What do you think?

Found out the source of Cherry keycap, it's actually another company GMK electronic... the same that did their doubleshots... which they still make. Wait WHAT? BOOM! Got some inquiries in.

Well I gues you just have to catch the right Cherry rep. I actually had contact Cherry before try to find things out but never got anywhere until now. Was given that info from Cherry. GMK site say many color choice available, I have inquired to get more details about options, price and moqs.

Order has been full paid. Will update with estimated production schedule as soon as I hear back from imsto.

IF we really can have new key sets made in correct Cherry profile, with correct legends and colors, by Cherry's own OEM manufacturer, I foresee the practical end of the "rare Cherry key cap" market. No more $500 dyesub sets or $250 red Esc's. People who purchased Cherry key caps as an investment opportunity, rather than something to use on a keyboard, will be sorely disappointed when the bottom falls out of the collector/secondhand market. Why pay a premium for "vintage," when we can have the exact same thing newly produced?

I am already getting my hopes up for Dolch sets, black on beige sets, white on black sets, as well as our own color creations, all at group buy prices.

I don't think New Old Stock (NOS) will impact the true collectors.  It will certainly impact the clone market.

Also, I imagine the MOQ is going to be a surprise.  And that this topic deserves its own thread!

Regardless, this is an exciting find.  Thanks lysol!

That would be a great place to start!

I understand that some collectors will always prefer vintage over new, but the point here is that, if it really is the same tooling, from the same OEM that Cherry used, how will you be able to tell the difference between old and new?
