WASD capkeys. Do they fade?

Considering how much I have to spend for a custom capkeys, I'm concerned about fading. Does anyone have any experience with WASD? Or with laser printing?

I'm going to order big fonts on white and grey colored keycaps.

Will they fade?

If so, how long?

the shinyness of the keys all depends on how hygienic you are with your hands.
if you cleanse your hands before coming into contact with the keys then they will last longer
about the lettering fade issue

personal experience: they started to fade after about a year and a few months from heavy daily use

Depends on your typing. But no more than the keycaps that come by default on your keyboard.

My keyboard was Microcrap and I think it's printed. Some of the letters are starting to fade, but then again, the board is about 12 years old.

Question....

WASD has an option for engraving. From what I see on the net, there is no colour in them. Would it make more sense if I got them engraved? After all, I can always fill them with some black paint. Or is this more theoretical then possible?

Whenever I think of fading keycaps I'm reminded of a powerful quote:

"sic transit gloria" - Ripster ca. 90 BCE

Some fade less than others (or not at all).  I think it is more a matter of getting the enjoyment out of the keyboard and the keycaps and learning to move on as a new leaf is turned over.
