He didn't send out confirmation pm's after the invoice, however you should get an email with the tracking info when it ships.. I think I remember seeing cc say that he hopes to have everything shipped by the end of the weekend, but don't quote me on that.

and phagocytosis, thanks for the pic, kinda sad I didn't get a pink one, but I'm sure whatever cc chose for my random will have been worth it!

thanks! I'm a huge fan of the pink one too! guac was sadly the only color I didn't want to get from my random pick so I'm trying to trade it for another color.

If you were invited to the PB4 or PB5 sale, then you have until the end of today to order whatever isn't listed as 'SOLD OUT'.

Sorry for the low quality of the pictures, my cell phone's camera doesn't do well in dim light.

I do have a question regarding Clickclack's keys. Is it normal for some of them to not fit Cherry stems as snugly as others? I hate to be that guy and nitpick everything, but I've never owned any of his caps before and was wondering if this is a common occurrence. My Mint Gum skull doesn't fit the stem as well and can be pulled off fairly easily with my fingers. The P1 and Orangesicle though fit really well and take a bit of gentle of tugging with my wire key cap puller. Like I said in the beginning, I'm just wondering how common it is to have a skull that doesn't fit as well as the others.

You had to have participated in the last sale back in March. It was exclusively for people who ordered during that sale but didn't get their order placed in time so they didn't get any keys.

It's normally a race to get your order in before others and before the site crashes due to the popularity of the keys. But with the recent server upgrades, Clickclack's next public sale should go much smoother. Just pay attention to his heads up thread in his subforum and you'll get a cap eventually

The invites were extended to people who placed an order but missed out on cc's last public sale. FYI, It took me 9 months from when I first wanted to buy a cc until I finally got one. Unless you're willing to pay $50-200 on the second hand market (depending on the rarity of the color), your best bet with these is A LOT of patience and subscribe to the 4grabs thread! Also checking cc's 'Heads Up' thread on a regular basis can help

Haha, sorry, my interest in helping the confused people who were audience to those invited to the sale is pretty high. I was one of them once, frustrated and without a skull. Also, I have an ulterior motive in bumping this thread so someone might be able to answer my question I posted above.

When CC himself is running a sale, then yes. But if posted on the classifieds section by anyone else, the mark up is considerably higher.

yeah ive seen prices of those caps be well over $50 each, which is a little steep for me... just wondering if that was the normal price they went for or not

I don't recall anyone having that issue before with any other CC keys. I know mine all fit just as tight as real Cherry keycaps do. Which is tighter than SP's fit. I should be getting mine tomorrow and will check if my new mint one has the same issue as yours or not.

I PM'd Clickclack regarding the issue and this is what he had to say:

...it's not too uncommon for a keycap to fit a little less tight, especially if it's from an (old) unrevised mold, which is possible for the mint skulls since they are a good bit older than most other keys (old Cherry Corp. keys are notorious for being loose, easily pulled off by hand as an example). To make matters worse, sometimes (more often than you would think) the switch stems are just a miniscule fraction smaller which can exacerbate something like this. It should still fit all the way down though.

And because he's such an awesome dude, he offered to replace it and cover the shipping cost when I send it back to him. :smile:

EDIT: I don't mean to cause a panic for anyone else who ordered Mint Skulls, I'm hoping it's an isolated issue and/or I'm just paranoid.

Got mine today and the mint green one does fits looser then the pink one as well. But not to where it is a problem from what I can tell. Did everyone get the little bag? I did not.

Guys that is normal in some keycaps, this wont affect your typing and the keycap wont come out. Some keycaps are tighter than other. I had the same experience with some other non cc cherry mx keycaps.

Do not bother cc regarding this, and do not star a debate regarding this matter.

A few years a go someone gave some problems to cc and piss him off. He did not make caps for long time. So back off and do not start giving him some troubles. If you are not happy, do not buy his keycaps. cc is not best buy that accept recalls. He makes these keycaps for the community in his very very short free time.

Easy fix to the loose fitting CC / any cherry key.. is get a very small square of cling wrap? glad wrap? ceram wrap? whatever its called in your town, the clear stretchy plastic you use to cover food etc! and place it over the stem and push the key cap down over it. tear away excess.. voila!
