I bet you thought there might not be any issues with this order.  Well you were wrong.  We have Cherry replica font Esc keys in place of the Cherry logo Esc keys.  The 1x modifier-row Cherry logo keys are as expected.

I'll be in contact with Melissa ASAP to figure out our options, but SP is closed on Fridays so we probably won't hear anything until next week.

We should print out our prototypes on paper send SP a physical copy and tell them not to ship any keys unless what they make matches what is on the paper.

Yep.  I suggested exactly this to Melissa earlier today and will be doing it for all future orders I place.

yep, i think there's a lot we can do to standardize to ease her workflow. unique encodings are the key! unique, standardized IDs and distinct property names for each key. if ever there was a need for JSON/XML, this is it !

The fate of the Esc keys remains to be seen.  Melissa will be running the cherry logo F-row keys next week, regardless.

I think idiot proof means a lot to different people.  I've put stuff together that was 'idiot proof' that failed completely when someone else had to follow the procedure.  We should look at everything that can fail in a GB and make sure all of those elements are explicitly defined with graphical example.

Which should be complettely fail proof. It's some sort of single page per element, describing the legend, the quantity, the profile, and everything.

Are Whites really that much more stiff? What's the advantage over greens?

Yes, whites are significantly stiffer.  Greens are significantly harder to obtain, and since demik just completed his Whites GB, he has plenty of those.

Whites are stiffer than greens (which are stiffer than blues).  The tactile bump of a white is extremely close to the bottom-out force of a green.
