I got several trial errors. Finally have a bit nice one like this.
It is an early version, just needs "sanding & finishing".
Before long you can see it. Physical one is much better than photo.

From what I heard the aluminum version was going to be some what limited. I don't know if that is true or not, but that is what I heard.

May not be too hard to get if you follow KBDMania(the last group buy of KMAC ended in an hour, this could be seen as hard to get but if you pay attention not too bad as the time is usually announced beforehand). In the previous group buy of KMAC, there were two per person limit and total number available was 100, so if you start making friends there, a few people could hook you up.

I just noticed there is significant amount finance restriction between US and Korea though. Wire transferring fee and etc were pretty high and the exchange rate you get from paypal was bad, so the pricing wise, it would be a bit higher than you think, also shipping would add about $50 or so.

Moreover, you should supply your own key caps, stabilizers, and switches.(the DIY set doesn't include them) Also you have to solder the switches yourself or pay around $70(for full assembly and switch mod job). Previous price of KMAC set (PCB + aluminum plate and housing) was 280,000 KRW (in today's forex about 240 USD, should add about 15 USD for fees to have funds transferred considering fee and bad exchange rate) The actual cost to have the board in working condition would be more because you would have to prepare your own caps, stabilizers, and switches.

No problem.

Yes, that is pretty much the ONLY way you could pay for and have them shipped to you, because the group buy organizer doesn't even accept paypal payments. Your friend has get an account at KBDMania if he/she didn't already. I am not sure if there is any account level(equivalent to post count) restriction, but it would be wise to check on them as well.

A few guys asked whether Hamblet is the organizer of KMAC projects(KMAC, KMAC LE, KMAC Mini and KMAC Pad) or not.
Hamblet is not the guys and also those pictures belong to KMAC project team.
